Water is relevant to every discipline
and every person on Earth.
Water education helps children connect to their local watersheds and understand their relationship
to local water resources. Therefore it is no surprise that we have such dedicated partners
who use our program to teach about water in their communities!
OUR METHOD
Project WET is delivered through its network of official partner organizations whose designated Coordinators and facilitators (aka Project WET trainers) train approximately 15,000 educators in local communities throughout the U.S. and in over 20 countries each year. Combined, Project WET’s official partners, and the teachers they educate, teach millions of children every year to understand global and local water resources.
INTERNATIONAL NETWORK
Project WET is active in approximately 80 countries globally through its network of implementing partners and educators downloading and using Project WET activities. Project WET works with organizations that range from small NGOs to major international corporations and organizations.
We work with our partner organizations to use our methods and activities to create a locally appropriate water education curriculum for their specific country, culture and region.

USA NETWORK
Since its inception in 1991, the USA network has trained millions of school and community educators to reach tens of millions of people of all ages with objective, science-based water resources education that fosters awareness and inspires action. At present, there are approximately 65 U.S. “host institutions”—partner organizations—with designated Project WET Coordinators. These Coordinators work with close to 2,000 facilitators to train educators to teach about all aspects of water. Education efforts in the U.S.center around the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 for K-12 and Getting Little Feet Wet for pre-school and kindergarten. Many of Project WET's programs also offer training for special topics in other publications including the Climate, Water and Resilience guide.
